FAQ
How do I use Spiders?

However you like!

Our growing ESL lesson plan library covers grammar, speaking, vocabulary and reading. All these lessons are designed to be adaptive, meaning that you can alter them to your students’ needs as well as your own teaching styles.

As a Fully Structured Lesson

By following the Teachers Notes and all of the lesson presentation slides, the lessons are designed to take up a typical class session time (45 minutes to an hour). We typically include prompts in the Teacher Notes which you can use to expand on the subject of the corresponding slide if the students are reacting to it well.

As Supplementary Content to Your Own Lesson Plans

Of course, you don’t need to teach every slide in order, or use every slide, and you’ll develop your own style for each lesson as you gain experience with them. You can also adapt this to fit in with your own lesson plans, perhaps by using the interactive games as part of your own lessons to consolidate student knowledge, by using the image slides for ‘chorus and repeat’ exercises, or by using the homework sheets.

Can I print the lessons?

You are free to download and print out copies of all the PDF worksheets for students, but you cannot print out or copy the actual lesson presentations.
